From the central balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica , the newly elected Pope Leo XIV delivered his first address to the world, marked by a powerful call for peace, dialogue, and the unity of the Church. In a serene but firm voice, the new Pontiff began his speech with a phrase laden with symbolism: “Peace be with you all.”
This greeting, inspired by the first welcome of the rising Christ, was the guiding thread of a deeply spiritual message, inviting the faithful—regardless of their place in the world—to welcome God’s peace into their hearts. “Evil will not prevail,” he affirmed with conviction, calling humanity to walk without fear, united with one another and with God.
