Corrections Policy

Panama Now Online aims to be accurate. When we get something wrong, we correct it.

How to report an error

Email jb@panamanowonline.com or use our contact page. Please include:

• the link to the article;
• the statement you believe is wrong;
• what you believe is correct, with a source if possible.

What we do

• We review every correction request.
• If a factual error is confirmed, we correct the article and add a dated note at the end explaining what was changed.
• Small fixes that do not change the meaning, such as spelling or formatting, may be made without a note.
• If a news brief repeated an error from its original source, we correct our article and note that the source’s information has changed.
• Opinion pieces are corrected for factual errors. Differences of opinion are not treated as errors.

Updates

When a story develops after publication, we may update it with new information. Significant updates are marked as updates in the article.
