The CSS opened weekend vaccination points across several provinces.

In Panama Metro, vaccination was scheduled at Soho Mall from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Other vaccination points in Panama Oeste, Colon, Herrera, Los Santos, Veraguas, Bocas del Toro and Chiriqui were listed from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., including supermarkets, community sites and house-to-house routes.

The CSS urged residents to visit the nearest point to keep their immunization schedules up to date. Weekend outreach can be especially important for working families, older adults and residents in communities where weekday access to health centers is difficult.

The announcement also shows how public health work increasingly depends on outreach outside traditional clinics. By using malls, supermarkets and community routes, health authorities can reach residents where they already live, shop and travel.

Why it matters

Vaccination coverage helps protect against preventable diseases and reduces pressure on hospitals and clinics. Public-service information like locations and hours is time-sensitive, so residents should verify the closest active point before traveling.

What happens next

Health authorities may continue weekend and mobile vaccination strategies if demand remains strong or if coverage gaps persist in specific districts and provinces.
