IFARHU Begins PASE-U Card Delivery and First 2026 Payment in Herrera
HERRERA, July 18, 2026 – IFARHU is beginning debit-card delivery and the first 2026 PASE-U payment in Herrera, starting Saturday, July 18, in selected corregimientos.

The first listed areas include Parita and Pese corregimientos. Guardians must present a valid physical cedula to receive the new Caja de Ahorros Mastercard debit card. IFARHU said users registered with passports will have to wait for a later scheduled delivery stage.
The payment rollout is part of the wider shift toward card-based benefit delivery and the PUNCH by Caja de Ahorros platform. For families, the practical question is timing: when and where to collect cards, what documents are needed, and when funds become available.
PASE-U remains one of the most visible education-linked benefit programs in Panama. Delays or confusion around payment schedules can create stress for families that depend on the funds for school-related expenses, transport and basic household support.
Why it matters
Moving to debit cards may reduce some logistical problems associated with cash or check-based payment, but it also requires clear communication so families know exactly where to go and what to bring.
What happens next
Families should consult IFARHU’s official schedule for assigned centers, hours and future provincial delivery dates. Additional passport-user and province-specific stages are expected to follow under the published calendar.
