PANAMA, October 30, 2026 — Panama’s new maximum retail fuel-price period begins at 6 a.m. Friday, October 30. The adjustment lowers the price of 95- and 91-octane gasoline while raising the price of low-sulfur diesel, according to the update reported from the Secretaría Nacional de Energía (SNE).

What changes in the new fuel period

The SNE’s adjustment reduces 95-octane gasoline by B/.0.097 per liter and 91-octane gasoline by B/.0.090 per liter. Low-sulfur diesel moves in the other direction, increasing by B/.0.021 per liter. The published period runs through 5:59 a.m. on Friday, November 13.

That split matters because motorists, businesses and transport operators do not all use the same fuel. Drivers using gasoline should see a lower maximum price than in the preceding period, while diesel users will need to account for the smaller increase in their transport or operating costs.

Why drivers should check the official table

Panama’s maximum fuel prices are set by period and can vary by region. A headline about a rise or fall does not substitute for checking the rate that applies where a driver actually fills up. The SNE table remains the practical reference for the final per-liter amount at each location.

The timing also falls immediately before the Fiestas Patrias period, when many families travel between provinces. People planning a road trip may want to confirm their local maximum price before leaving, while commercial users can update short-term fuel budgets using the new period rather than assuming that all fuels changed in the same direction.

What this announcement does not mean

The measure sets maximum retail prices for the stated period; it does not create a permanent price level. The next official adjustment can move either up or down depending on the factors used in the regulated calculation. Readers should be cautious with viral graphics or older fuel notices that do not show the effective dates.
