PANAMA, October 30, 2026 — Panama’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has a staggered payment calendar for public servants’ first-half November disbursements, with institutions scheduled across November 11, 12 and 13, according to the reported calendar.

Why there are three dates

Public payroll is organized by institutional group rather than paid to every worker on the same day. The reported schedule places several security, education and cultural institutions on November 11; another group of government bodies on November 12; and a third group on November 13.

Among the institutions reported for November 11 are the Servicio de Protección Institucional, security bodies, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture. The November 12 group includes organizations such as the National Assembly, the Comptroller General, the Presidency, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Public Works and the MEF. The final group includes, among others, MIDA, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Housing, the Ministry of Social Development, the Judicial Branch and electoral institutions.

Confirm the date that applies to your institution

A calendar entry is useful only if it matches a worker’s employing institution. Public servants should check the MEF’s official communications or their own payroll office for the date applicable to their agency, particularly where an institution’s internal unit or payroll arrangement creates questions.

Workers should also distinguish this calendar from pension payments, private-sector payroll and special benefits. Those payments can follow different schedules and should not be assumed to arrive on the same dates.

Plan, but keep an eye on official updates

Payment calendars help households plan bills, transport and holiday expenses, but a reposted graphic can become outdated. The safest practice is to verify the notice date and use the official MEF channel for any change or clarification.

The reported schedule concerns the first-half November payment cycle. It is not an announcement of a new benefit or a change to a worker’s salary. If a deposit does not appear as expected, workers should first use established payroll and banking channels rather than sharing credentials in response to unsolicited messages.
