EX-PAT ALERT: COVID rise for the week.

At least 3,819 new positive cases of covid-19 were registered in Panama in the last 24 hours and no deaths were reported, but one from a previous date is updated for a cumulative of 8,255 deaths and a lethality of 1.0%.
The report from the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health for this Tuesday details that the country continues to maintain a high percentage of positivity for covid-19 cases with 22.6%. To date, 858,268 confirmed cumulative cases of the disease have been reported.
Those recovered amount to 822,019, of which 3,104 are from this Tuesday. 16,891 tests were applied for a positivity of 22.6%.
There are currently 27,994 active cases in the country, of which 27,708 are in home isolation and 286 hospitalized. Those in isolation are 27,668 at home and 40 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 253 in the Ward and 33 in the ICU.
The districts that report the largest number of cases today are: Juan Diaz 145; San Francisco 141; Beautiful View 118; Rufina Alfaro 117 and Betania 111.
The Minsa authorities reiterated to the population that they can go to receive the doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in health centers, polycenters, polyclinics, Minsa-Capsi, national and regional hospitals of the Minsa and the CSS, as well as in private hospitals .
While the swab stalls at the Rod Carew National Stadium, on Via Centenario and at the Emilio Royo Stadium, in Juan Díaz, keep the public open from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
Meanwhile, the East Panama Health Region reported that the Las Margaritas de Chepo Health Center will have swab centers next June 4 and 5 from 8:00 am at the sports field in Las Margaritas.
Vaccination report
On the other hand, the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) reported that 8,242,621 doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been applied in Panama until Tuesday. Of that total, 3,477,600 have been placed in the first dose; 3,101,525 in second dose; 1,577,244 as the first booster dose and 69,442 as the second booster dose.
428,120 pediatric doses against Covid-19 have been applied to the population between 5 and 11 years old; of them 277,991 in the first dose and a coverage of 54%.
The coverage of the population older than 5 years with a first dose is 87.6% and 78.2% with a second dose. With the first booster dose, coverage is 50.2%.
