A total of 3 deaths from covid-19 were registered in the country in the epidemiological week from September 11 to 17, according to the latest weekly report from the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

The total number of deaths in Panama to date, since the covid-19 pandemic began, is 8,490.

For this epidemiological week in which 28,130 tests were carried out, 1,580 new positive cases were registered, for a positivity of 5.7%, so the total number of confirmed cases in the country reaches 985,814.

The total number of active cases is 2,260. Those who were in home isolation until September 17 were 2,178, while those hospitalized in the ward were 75, in the ICU until that date there were 7 patients.
