PANAMA CITY, August 13, 2026 – Tropical Wave No. 32 continued moving west across Panama, producing rain mainly in Bocas del Toro and the Ngabe-Bugle and Guna Yala comarcas, according to Metro Libre citing IMHPA reports.

The rains have also caused tree falls in Panama province, including an incident on the Panama-Colon highway near the Chilibre exit toward Colon.

Another tree reportedly fell on Via Forestal, where a vehicle was affected, while emergency crews were removing branches on Via Centenario near Merca Panama.

Traffic was affected in both directions in parts of the affected road network, and some drivers turned around against the flow because of the disruption, the report said.

A separate tree fall in Gamboa interrupted transit from Omar Torrijos Herrera Avenue.

MiAmbiente reported damage at the Wildlife Recovery Center in Camino de Cruces National Park after a strong storm brought down branches, but staff were safe and assessing the damage.

Authorities urged drivers to use caution and follow official channels as weather conditions continue to shift.
