One of the defense lawyers in the New Bussines case filed a challenge against Judge Baloisa Marquínez, Second Liquidator of Criminal Cases, for which the hearing was postponed.

In addition, the defense filed an appeal against the non-admission of a series of evidence that would be used during the trial of the 20 people accused of alleged money laundering, through the New Business company.

The judge had previously established an alternate date for this trial from May 23 to June 5, 2023. The appeal filed by the defense must be resolved before it is held.
