World of Coffee Panama Opens as the Country Hosts a Global Specialty-Coffee Gathering

PANAMA, October 23, 2026 — World of Coffee Panama opens today at the Panama Convention Center, placing the country at the center of a specialty-coffee gathering that combines trade, competition, education and tasting experiences.

The event runs October 23–25. It coincides with the World Barista Championship, scheduled for October 22–25, and with Coffee Weeks activities running from October 15–31 in participating establishments around the country.

Scale and local relevance

Organizers project 13,000 attendees, more than 320 exhibitors and participation from more than 30 countries. The event is associated with the Specialty Coffee Association, the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama, the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama, and public and private partners.

For Panama, a global coffee event is more than a calendar attraction. It can spotlight producers, baristas, exporters, researchers and hospitality businesses while giving visitors a closer look at the work behind specialty coffee. The value, however, will depend on how opportunities reach local participants and how the event’s results are measured after it ends.

What visitors and businesses can expect

The announced program includes exhibitions, business meetings, conferences, tastings, training spaces and competitions. Readers planning to attend should check the organizer’s official channels for entry requirements, schedules and venue information.

Panama Now Online will follow verified announcements from organizers and participating institutions during the event. This report is based on the published program and projected attendance, not a final count of participation or economic impact.
