Panamanian success Barrria goes for 5th MLB victory Friday

Panamanian pitcher Jaime Barria returns to the mound Friday, for the Los Angeles Angels , in search of his fifth Major League baseball victory, when they face the Texas Rangers .

Barría (4-1) comes to beat the New York Yankees last Saturday and will now climb the hill at home, at Angel Stadium, starting at 9:00 p.m.

After six starts this season, Barría has worked 30.1 innings, in which he has tolerated 25 hits, 10 runs, 8 walks and prescribed 24 strikeouts. Its effectiveness is at 2.97.

In his last outing, against the Yankees, he overcame four races, product of three homers, in two episodes, to take the win.

Tonight will be a duel of Latino pitchers. For the Rangers is assigned to open the right-handed Dominican Bartolo Colon
