Panama Conecta Reaches 787,000 Users as Digital State Plan Expands
PANAMA CITY, August 12, 2026 – Panama Conecta now has about 787,000 active users and 26 digital procedures and services integrated into the platform, Telemetro reported, citing AIG administrator Adolfo Fabrega.
Fabrega presented the progress during a Cabinet Council session, describing the platform as part of an effort to centralize state services and procedures in a single digital entry point.
According to Telemetro, the government goal is to reach about 100 online procedures and more than one million active users by 2027.
The platform is also advancing a Single Login model, so users can access different public services with one account rather than navigating separate institutional systems.
Telemetro reported that Panama Conecta already has 82 interinstitutional integrations, intended to reduce repeated requests for documents or information already held in government databases.
The presentation also mentioned planned Google submarine cables that officials say could strengthen Panama position as a global digital hub and support technology-related investment.

Why it matters
Digital services affect how quickly citizens can complete state procedures, access benefits and avoid duplicated paperwork.
What happens next
AIG is expected to continue adding priority services tied to employment, health, water, cost-of-living support and consumer protection.
