MONDAY: Panama Covid update

Until this Sunday, Panama reports 755,262 accumulated cases of covid-19, of which 357 are new cases. 

Six deaths are reported for a cumulative of 8,079 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%. 

The total recovered amounts to 740,813 of which 1,089 are new recovered. 4,593 tests were carried out for a positivity of 7.8%.

There are 6,370 active cases, of which 6,182 are in home isolation and 188 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 6,144 houses and 38 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 161 in the ward and 27 in the ICU.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that 190 pediatric doses have been applied to children between 5 and 11 years of age and 306 doses to those over 12 years of age in Los Andes Mall, district of San Miguelito. 

The vaccination day will resume on Wednesday, March 2 at Los Andes Mall and health centers from 7 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon and at Metro Mall from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon.

The Minsa also highlighted that in the last 24 hours no case of covid-19 has been detected at the Tocumen International Airport.
