IFARHU Could Begin General Scholarship Payments Next Week
PANAMA, September 3, 2026 — IFARHU could begin disbursing General Scholarship Competition payments to student beneficiaries next week through Caja de Ahorros debit cards.
The cards have already been distributed in seven provinces, with delivery continuing elsewhere. IFARHU said students at private schools and universities will receive cards for merit-based awards, while the agency is also evaluating a rule change that could include private-university students in future competitions.
