CSS Says More Than 6,000 Employees Are Already Retired
PANAMA, August 27, 2026 — Panama’s Social Security Fund says more than 6,000 people currently working at the institution are already retired, a staffing issue highlighted during its 2027 budget presentation.

CSS director Dino Mon presented the institution’s 2027 fiscal plan and pointed to the employment status of retired workers as one of several administrative and financial pressures.
