The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported this Wednesday, March 11, that they confirmed three new cases of Covid-19 (new coronavirus) in Panama.

They are three women, one 33 years old, who is in an ambulatory state; a 58-year-old woman who is hospitalized and arrived for hospital surveillance; and a 57-year-old woman, who is hospitalized.

With these three new cases, there are 11 registered in the country in less than 48 hours.

Through a statement, the Minsa also reported that two officials of the Presidency of the Republic underwent clinical and laboratory analysis, which came out negative.

“As a preventive measure, the Ministry of the Presidency is carrying out the sieve test (taking the temperature) on all the officials and personnel that arrive at the institution; We also recommend other institutions and companies that receive a daily influx of public to apply similar measures, “the statement said.

Meanwhile, President Laurentino Cortizo is attending from his office on a regular basis, reported the Ministry of the Presidency.

This Tuesday, the Minister of Health, Rosario Turner, reported the death of a teacher associated with Covid-19 and confirmed the contagion of seven people.
