Panama Enacts Oncology Right-to-Be-Forgotten Law
PANAMA, September 9, 2026 — Panama has enacted Law 547 on the oncology right to be forgotten and published it in the Official Gazette.

Under the law, people who have overcome cancer and have gone five years without recurrence are not required to disclose their medical history and cannot be excluded when seeking banking, credit or insurance services.
