If you still haven’t defined a route for the days off for Easter , we have an option for you to take a tour of the Finca Ecoagroturistica Conejo Pintado , just 45 minutes from the capital city.
A perfect getaway to share with family and friends, where you will disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city and surround yourself with a fresh atmosphere with surroundings full of greenery.
The farm in Cerro Azul aims to be a school farm, it is also a space for boys and girls with different health diagnoses to interact with nature and farm animals, generating different therapies for their accompaniment.
Its owner, Luis Barría, tells us that they began operations in August 2021, and seek over the years to be a hybrid model farm.
In addition, demonstrate that near the city, you can find paradises to enjoy and grow all kinds of products under the models of hydroponics, aquaponics, terraces, hillsides and cucurbits.
“Little by little we are growing until we become a reference farm. Demonstrating everything that involves conservation and production through the method of sustainable development and sustainable use of resources”, said Barría in a dialogue with La Estrella de Panama.
On the farm, which is 750 meters above sea level, there is a wide variety of wildlife. During a tour of its facilities you can hear the songs of the birds and in the distance the howling of the monkeys.
On the farm there are various types of poultry, including turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, and the famous Emilio, an emu – the second largest bird in the world – who has an impressive charisma and greets all visitors. Besides they can interact with the ponies, the sheep, the goats, the macaws and the Painted Rabbit.
You also have the option to harvest your own vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage and strawberry crops coming soon.
“Little by little we are going to open more attractions, such as ecological trails, river tours, waterfalls, rappelling and canopy,” explained the owner.
The tourist tours are carried out on weekends at four times: 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays the school tours or tours with 20 visitors are carried out.
The prices are as follows: Adults: $20 Minors from 17 to 15 years old: $15 Retirees: $15 Minors under 10 years old: $10. And for people with a Sendadis card they pay half the original price.
