Bad weather something to get used to.

Weather

The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (Imhpa) announced that from this Monday, May 29 to Wednesday, May 31, Panama will be affected by the first tropical wave of the year.

According to Imhpa’s analysis, the tropical wave will generate rain and storms until 11:59 p.m. this Wednesday, May 31.

The entity’s report indicated that a greater frequency of rains of varied intensity and “occasionally strong” storms with electrical activity and potential gusts of winds are expected in various sectors of the country.

These storms, according to Imhpa, occur due to the influence of a trough axis and the passage of the first tropical wave of the year.

The areas that are under warning are Darién, Panamá Oeste, Colón, Coclé, Los Santos, Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro, Herrera and the Ngäbe-Buglé and Guna Yala regions.
