The National Police, through the National Directorate of Traffic Operations, detailed the times and points where lane reversals will be implemented during the days of Carnival 2025.
This measure seeks to speed up traffic and ensure safe travel for drivers heading to the interior of the country and their subsequent return during the holiday.
Lane reversal operation
Eduardo Huertas, head of the National Directorate of Traffic Operations, explained that the lane investments will begin this Friday, February 28, and will be distributed as follows:
Friday, February 28:
From 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm: From Los Mártires Avenue to Howard.
From 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm: From Arraiján Cabecera, Burunga to TCT, Vista Alegre.
From 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm: From Nazareno in La Chorrera to Campana in Capira and from Sajalices in Capira to San José, in San Carlos.
Saturday, March 1st:
From 5:00 am to 6:00 pm: From Nazareno in La Chorrera to Campana in Capira and from Sajalices to San José, in San Carlos.
Return of travelers
To ensure a safe and orderly return, the National Police has scheduled lane reversals on the following dates and times:
Tuesday, March 4:
From 10:00 am to 6:00 pm: From El Nance in San Carlos to Sajalices in Capira and from Campana in Capira to Nazareno in La Chorrera.
Wednesday, March 5:
From 7:00 am to 6:00 pm: From El Nance in San Carlos to Sajalices in Capira and from Campana in Capira to Nazareno in La Chorrera.
Road safety measures
Agents from the National Directorate of Traffic Operations will maintain road safety operations in order to prevent accidents.
The public is therefore urged to respect traffic signs and follow the instructions of police authorities to avoid incidents.
The National Police recommends that drivers plan their trips in advance, drive with caution and avoid alcohol consumption if they are going to drive.
