Security Dialogue Brings Together Chepo, Darien and Embera Communities
PANAMA, September 6, 2026 — Panama’s Public Security Ministry has held a community security dialogue in Torti with authorities and representatives from Chepo, Darien and the Embera region.
The meeting formed part of Plan Firmeza and focused on crime prevention, community participation and coordination among local authorities and security agencies. Participants also discussed crime data, youth-prevention programmes, AMBER Alert responses and SENAFRONT operations.
