San Miguelito Cable Car Project Strengthens Panama-Austria Cooperation
PANAMA, September 6, 2026 — Panama’s Foreign Ministry says the award of the San Miguelito cable-car project to Doppelmayr Panama Corp. will strengthen cooperation with Austria.
The project is intended to improve mobility in San Miguelito while supporting innovation, employment and knowledge transfer. The ministry said the award also creates opportunities for infrastructure and transport expertise to be shared between the two countries.
