Ukraine and Russia have agreed on six humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Wednesday, citing Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
Vereshchuk said that the parties to the conflict will cease hostilities to evacuate civilians from the town of Energodar, in southern Ukraine; the city of Sumy, in the northeast; those of Mariupol, Izum and Volnovakha in the east, and seven cities and towns around Kiev.
The ceasefire will last from 0900 local time (0700 GMT) to 2100 local time (1900 GMT) on Wednesday, Vereshchuk said,
