Lawmakers Question Government Vehicle and Office-Equipment Rentals
PANAMA, September 1, 2026 — Panama’s National Assembly Budget Committee questioned officials over vehicle and office-equipment rental costs during hearings for the 2027 fiscal year.
Lawmakers asked the Panama Tourism Authority’s administrator about annual vehicle rentals reported at $70,000 for the administrator and deputy administrator. The Government Ministry was also questioned about the rental of office equipment as the committee continued reviewing institutional budget requests.
