garbage disposal

There is a serious problem in some neighborhoods, where the population refuses to pay for the service

Garbage collection has been shown to be a problem in Panama City. Nor is there good management in the final disposal of waste, much less is there a general policy to educate the population to generate less garbage and move towards a culture of recycling. Since garbage collection is in the hands of a State institution and it has not worked, it is better to transfer this service to a private company that already provides the service in several places. There is a serious problem in some neighborhoods, where the population refuses to pay for the service. In this case, a formula would have to be found, because garbage is not like water or electricity that coerces the customer by cutting off the service, because it is a health problem. What we must not do is continue to invest millions of dollars in an institution that is inefficient. The institution must be maintained to supervise the work of the private company and to campaign in favor of recycling. The collection and disposal of garbage says a lot about the institution’s commitment to citizens. What we have today is a caricature of good service and the Government must take seriously what to do with this institution that for decades has shown that it cannot handle the job. It’s that simple! What we have today is a caricature of good service and the Government must take seriously what to do with this institution that for decades has shown that it cannot handle the job. It’s that simple! What we have today is a caricature of good service and the Government must take seriously what to do with this institution that for decades has shown that it cannot handle the job. It’s that simple!
