The former Panamanian big league Carlos ‘Calicho’ Ruiz said he is willing to wear the shirt of the national team in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games 2018, which will be held in Barranquilla, Colombia, from July 19 to August 3 .

“It’s something I’ve thought about and I’d really like to represent my country and God wants things to happen, let’s hope that happens when the championship ends. Right now we are focused on finishing strong and if things happen, I would represent my country with a lot of pride, “said Panamanian receiver Calicho Ruiz.

The player from Chiriqui is one who never denies fire, as long as his homeland has called him present and the last time he wore the shirt of the Panama national team was in 2016, in the World Classic eliminator played in the stadium Rod Carew

Before starting the second game of the final series of the National Championship of Major Baseball, ‘Calicho’ Ruiz also had a small reunion with his compatriot and former big leagues Bruce Chen.

“It fills me with a lot of happiness to see a great friend, a great teammate and a great person, I really enjoyed greeting him and I was proud to see him,” he said.
