Panama-David Rail Studies Advance With South Korea Technology Transfer
PANAMA, August 30, 2026 — Panama’s National Railway Secretariat and South Korea’s KIND are advancing technical studies and technology transfer for the Panama-David-border rail corridor.

A joint agenda running from August 28 to September 2 includes technical meetings, field inspections along the proposed first-phase route and an engineering session with the Panama Canal Authority. The first phase is expected to prioritise strategic logistics links in line with available public financing.
