Minister of Security under fire for corruption claims by retired police.

An Amparo of Constitutional Guarantees against the Minister of Security, Alexis Betancourt, presented the Association of Retirees of the National Police in the Supreme Court of Justice.

“The protection of guarantees states that the Ministry of Security violates due process and effective judicial protection by refusing to give due process to a request for payment of expired holidays in favor of more than 500 units removed,” said lawyer Justino Gonzáelz , who was made to accompany with retired policemen.

According to González, the Ministry of Security issued notes that do not have the formality of a resolution.

“Likewise, those notes that are not resolutions do not recognize the amount of work benefits of members of the National Police,” added the jurist.
