According to the entity, the tides will have a maximum height of 17.1 feet (5.18) meters

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) maintains the prevention notice (surveillance and monitoring) for the maximum tides in the Panamanian Pacific, which began at 4:47 am on Saturday, March 1, and will continue until 7:17 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

According to Sinaproc, the tides will have a maximum height of 17.1 feet (5.18) meters.

The Emergency Operations Center (COE) warns that if high tides coincide with rain, the levels of rivers and streams could rise, causing flooding in vulnerable areas.

Among the recommended preventive measures is avoiding activities on the Pacific coast.

• Artisanal fishermen must use navigation equipment and personal flotation devices (life jackets).

• Monitor your children: people with disabilities and older adults.
