Workers, recruiters, and citizens contributed their opinions to the Merco ranking update.

Merco Talento Panama presented the results of the second edition of its ranking of Panamanian companies that attract talent, the majority of which are from the financial and banking sectors.

Banco General repeats for the second consecutive year as the best company to attract and retain talent in Panama, followed by Banco Nacional de Panamá (2nd) and Cervecería Nacional (3rd).

Completing the top 10 of the general ranking are Caja de Ahorros (4th), Panama Canal Authority (ACP) (5th), Banistmo (6th), Nestlé (7th), Copa Airlines (8th), BAC (9th) and McDonald’s (10th).

88.9% of employees at the top 10 companies in Panama believe their company has a defined corporate purpose, and 56.9% say they identify “strongly” with that purpose.

Regarding the average employee satisfaction rate in Panama, it reached a score of 8.74%, while pride of belonging is outstanding, at 9.19%.

On the other hand, the employee recommendation rate (ENPS) to their family and close friends was 58.0%.

For the Merco ranking, 8,023 workers (both Merco’s own and those from the 100 companies), 500 university students, 676 job seekers, 2,200 citizens, 140 Human Resources experts, 52 professors and 65 union leaders participated.

In addition to these assessments, an analysis was conducted in collaboration with Nethodology in the digital sphere of companies (Merco Digital), with 14,112 mentions analyzed. A benchmarking of objective indicators captures the reality of companies through an evaluation of their reputational merits by 38 companies.

The methodology established by Merco for preparing the ranking of talented companies in Panama has been independently reviewed by KPMG Spain. The methodology used to compile Merco Talent is available on the website: www.merco.info
