Panama Canal Submits $5.555 Billion 2027 Budget to Assembly
PANAMA, September 3, 2026 — The proposed Panama Canal budget for fiscal 2027 has been presented to the National Assembly with projected revenue of $5.555 billion.
The minister for Canal Affairs submitted the proposal to the Assembly plenary. The budget will now form part of the public review of the waterway’s expected income and financial plans for the coming fiscal year.
