Lawmakers Call on New UNACHI Rector to Rebuild University Image
PANAMA, August 21, 2026 — Deputies say professor Absel Navarro should address the needs of the university community after his election as rector of the Autonomous University of Chiriqui.
The lawmakers said the new administration faces the task of restoring confidence in the institution and responding to students, faculty and staff. Navarro was chosen through UNACHI’s internal electoral process.
