IMA Announces August 11 Agroferias Across Panama
PANAMA CITY, August 10, 2026 – Panama Agricultural Marketing Institute announced the official schedule of Agroferias that will be operating on Tuesday, August 11, in different regions of the country, Telemetro reported.

The sales points are scheduled to open simultaneously at 8:00 a.m. and are intended to offer basic-basket products at accessible prices.
IMA reminded consumers that presenting a personal identity card is mandatory for purchases and asked shoppers to bring reusable bags to reduce plastic use and make transport easier.
Telemetro listed participating areas including Colón, Herrera, the Ngäbe-Buglé comarca, Veraguas and Chiriquí.
The Agroferias are part of the government consumer-relief toolkit at a time when food prices remain a central household concern.
For shoppers, the practical issues are location, arrival time, product availability and compliance with the identity-card requirement.
Why it matters
Low-cost food sales directly affect household budgets and can draw high demand when prices are under pressure.
What happens next
Consumers planning to attend Tuesday’s Agroferias should check the nearest location, bring identification and arrive prepared with reusable bags.
