He added that in this complaint they are pointing out what is stated in Article 79 of the Organic Law of the General Comptroller of the Republic which states that: “No public servant of the Comptroller General may defend or sponsor their own economic interests or of a family member included within of the first degree of affinity or second of consanguinity “.

Rodriguez claims to have evidence of alleged damages against the Panamanian State, stating that in one of the cases “the Humbert comptroller, in 2015, endorsed under his name a contract that benefited his family business, by the Comptroller’s Office and then changes in public deed to put his brother and also endorse it, which is totally prohibited. ”

He reiterated that the tests are “extremely compromising where the damage is for millions and millions of dollars to the Panamanian State.”

When questioned about the process, she declared that she did not have the confidence that the investigations were carried out by the Attorney General’s office, but “the change of government comes and we will be vigilant, supervising that the work is done correctly”.
