Tribunal Electoral will be enabled for change of residence requests

The seven district offices, including the regional headquarters of  the Electoral Tribunal in Los Santos, will be enabled this weekend so that the interested voters can specify their change of residence.

Dámaso Díaz , regional director of electoral organization of Los Santos, justified the decision saying that Monday April 30 concludes the period for the change of residence.

“We have enabled on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 so that people who have not made the change of residence, for the place where they reside, can do it by district,” he said.

He explained that once the period is closed, the process of contesting the electoral registry is opened, because the electoral roll must be handed over to the authorities and interested individuals on May 15.

He added that from May 16 to June 15, these challenges can be presented to the voter registry, and those interested should present their names to the Electoral General Prosecutor’s Office.

Diaz clarified that before the Electoral Tribunal judges analyzed these challenges, but now it will be the criminal judges who will settle them.
