The Federico Guardia Conte water treatment plant , in Chilibre, will reduce the production of drinking water by 50% on Friday, September 7, due to the alignment of a new broken valve, as part of the work to adapt the new suction motors. will install in the plant, reported this Wednesday, September 5, the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewerage National (Idaan) .

According to the institution, to affect as little as possible the population, the works are scheduled for a 10-hour day, starting on Friday, September 7 at 11:00 pm, until Saturday, September 8 at 9: 00 am

The Idaan reported that there will be a lack of drinking water supply at the high points of: Bethania, Villa de La Fuente 1 and 2, El Dorado, Hato Pintado, Altos de Panamá, Santa Maria, Dos Mares, Carrasquilla, Limajo, Plaza Edison , Altos de Miraflores and San Francisco.

The district of San Miguelito and all the sectors that comprise Panama East, from Pedregal to La Siesta de Tocumen, will also be affected by lack of drinking water.

The installation of this equipment will be the first of two more installations to be carried out at the Federico Conte water treatment plant in September, as part of the modernization plan carried out by the institution, which is at a cost of 3.5 million dollars. by the company Manhattan PM, said the entity.
