So after finally catching up on the emails from the long weekend, we had quite a few people to get back to.

Allow me to WELCOME the many new friends we have gathered and events we have attended through some international Ex-Pat gathering sites such as:

All are fantastic avenues to connect with a wider array of people both already in Panama as we all those who are imminently arriving.

In catching up, I often get replies directly to my email about topics we have covered. Some of the most polarizing have been ODEBRECHT- ROUX- BOCAS DEL TORO- and of course VARELA and the trial of MARTINELLI.

Some of these messages are for people that have very passionate views either for or against. And in all cases of discord, I am of the opinion that all of us, not merely me, put your words out there in the ether.

Don’t try to convince me of my opinion or alter it privately, do so with a strong retort and some facts. I will GLADLY post it for our rapidly growing visitors to peruse and read on their own. ( Thank you to all for us passing 3K daily visitors last week) . My opinion will be shared sans edit all of the time.

To clarify- I NEVER trusted VARELA. I support NITO. My efforts for the ENVIRONMENT of Panama are vital to me. I KNOW how Ex-Pats are scammed in real estate and feel the Panama Lawyers as a whole are brutally corrupt. There are landmines to avoid and I am more than happy to help navigate.

However if something is stated that others feel they can rebut and provide an alternate opinion to……..PLEASE do so.

We run Op EDITORIALS since we went live and consequently, those are the pieces that elicit the greatest replies.

So again……..read something you find wrong. RESPOND. That’s what democracy and debate is all about.
