Hello 2019 PANAMA!!!

So in the spirit of giving, my visiting family did a bang up job of giving me the flu. So apologies for the stagnancy on the site over the past few days. I do however, love the fact that I can get everything I need with one visit to a Super 99 and avoid all of the red tape it takes to get healthy back in the states. At my age I know exactly what I need. I know the exact prescription. So YES, Panama is the best in that regard.

2019 is poised to be a huge year in PANAMA. And here at PNO.com we intend to learn from what we started in 2018 and build on it for 2019. All of the topics we covered will be followed up on, with some very big events for us to monitor.

THE ELECTIONS

ODEBRECHT

WORLD YOUTH DAY and THE POPE

MARTINELLI SAGA

GOVERNMENT BRIBES AND SCANDALS

ENVIRONMENTAL ABUSES

POLITICAL BEDFELLOWS

CANAL EXPANSION

INFRASTRUCTURE

EX-PAT SCAMS AND TRAPS TO AVOID

As we go into 2019, let me again thank the few ( but growing ) and frequent visitors and contributors to the site. In truth, there are times when we are operating the site when we see that something is contributed and maybe 45-50 people viewed it that day, and we feel it should have been more. But then there were times we posted something that tens of THOUSANDS viewed. It is apparent that Panamanians and Ex-Pats alike are indeed engaged and involved in the happenings that occur around them, and at PNO.com we intend to provide a platform for those views to be disseminated.

Saludos

“JB”- So many, many years ago when I just thought I would have some bullshit to ype to people back home about our retirement decision, I was blindsided into a “Hatfield“ and McCoy” type blood feud in Bocas del Toro.  Please feel free to go back and read thr archives, …

Well, HELLO there,

“JB” –  Sorry for the radio silence.  Me and the wife had some unexpected travel that came up and I’m just getting settled. But PLENTY to talk about.

EVERY YEAR I like to mention the BAHIA clean-up efforts. A ray of GOOD among the S–T.

THE NUMBERS ARE  IN!!! Nearly six tons of waste were removed last Saturday from the mouth of the Juan Díaz River and the Panama Bay wetland during a cleanup organized by the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) and the environmental organization Adopta Bosque . More than 1,500 volunteers participated in the activity, including security …
