Colon: Quickly and quietly becoming one of the most dangerous places on Earth.

It is a story I like to touch on, even though there is no earthly reason for ex-Pats to be interested in anything near Colon. But in stories that you find that don’t reach the mainstream papers like “La Estrella” and “La Pensa”, you find the dark underbelly of what is still a third world country in many respects. “El Siglo” is widely considered the newspaper of the poor. And I found it unsurprising today that there are a plethora of alarming articles coming from that region. I have copy and pasted some for you to see for yourself.
