As US braces for Hurricane, Gas on rise in Panama also

The National Secretariat of Energy (SNE) reported this Wednesday, April 19, that as of April 22, 95-octane gasoline will increase by 10 hundredths.

This announcement is known days before the state subsidy for 95 octane gasoline expires, which will be in force until April 21.

On the other hand, the price for 91 octane gasoline and diesel remains at 3 dollars and 25 cents until May 31, the date established by the Government for the end of the subsidy.

The liter of 95 octane gasoline will sell for $1.17 ($4.44 per gallon).

According to the National Secretary of Energy, Jorge Rivera Staff, the subsidy consumed from July 2022 to March 2023 amounts to $215 million.
