Power Outage Affected More Than 375,000 Customers in Several Areas
PANAMA, September 14, 2026 — Authorities say more than 375,000 electricity customers were affected by a Saturday night outage linked to an incident at the Gatun generator.
The outage affected Panama City, San Miguelito, Panama Oeste and Colon. Officials attributed the interruption to an incident at the Gatun generation facility, according to the source report.
