In typical PANAMA fashion- Political Life changes on a DIME.

Political FRAUD

I’ve said since I started this blog, that PANAMA despite it’s progressive exterior as an emerging country that is ready to operate in a 1st “world” environment, they continue to “cannibalize” opposition.

Zulay, once a shining star in the political landscape, is suddenly “persona non grata”.

Zulay denounces fraud. “I had surgery in San Miguelito”

Zulay Rodríguez pointed out that this is a political persecution orchestrated by the government and the Electoral Court

The defeat of Zulay Rodríguez for the position of deputy in San Miguelito continues to cause welts. Today the former parliamentarian denounced a series of alleged irregularities in the electoral process, she announced that she will challenge and reiterated that more than 100 thousand votes were taken from her.

Without mentioning names, Zulay Rodríguez pointed out that this is a political persecution orchestrated by the government and the Electoral Court.

”I have enough enemies. They were preparing this fraud for me. They did surgery on me in San Miguelito. A day before, a platform showed that he had lost,” he said.

I have questioned the Electoral Results Transmission system (TER) of the Electoral Tribunal. And he denounced that during the elections there was an alteration of results that had been registered in the Unofficial Transmission of Results system. “You can’t take away votes that I earned legally and it is proven in the minutes ,” Rodríguez said on Telemetro’s morning newscast.

Rodríguez stated that they are including excessive votes to a list and at a table where there are 500 voters, in the final result they put 1,900, that means they put 1,400 that do not exist.

will challenge

He indicated that he will continue fighting through legal means to retain the seat for the 8-2 circuit. “I am the only representative who has been prosecuted and persecuted in the Supreme Court of Justice without having taken a real.”

“I will exhaust all necessary avenues permitted by law to defend to the last consequences the seat that the people granted me at the polls last Sunday. Make no mistake, the fight is fighting, and I am ready to fight and demonstrate that the people placed their trust in me to continue being their voice in the Assembly. And I will do it with the minutes in hand,” the politician wrote on her X account.

Zulay was left out

The other six seats in San Miguelito are for: Omar Ortega (RM), Alexandra Brenes, Eduardo Gaitán, Luis Duke (quotient), Yarelis Rodríguez, all from the Vamos Coalition. Also Eduardo Camacho, from RM (quotient), and Raúl Pineda (half-quotient) for the PRD.
