Air Europa to open a route to Panama

Air Europa will return to China, the country it flew between 2005 and 2006, but had to stop operating due to lack of profitability
Air Europa, Globalia’s air division, continues with its expansion and plans to fly to China in two years, in addition to opening “imminently” a route to Panama, according to the CEO of the Spanish tourist group, Javier Hidalgo.
Hidalgo hopes that the new connection between Madrid and China can begin to operate by the end of 2019 or early 2020, as it advanced to Efe, on the occasion of the summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which ends today in Buenos Aires. Aires
In this way, Air Europa will return to China, the country it flew between 2005 and 2006, but had to stop operating due to lack of profitability and, in order not to repeat that failure, the group will enter the Asian continent at the hand of the Chinese giant Alibaba, more specifically through its travel platform, Fliggy.
Globalia participates in a cooperation agreement signed today between Fliggy and the National Institute of Tourism Promotion (Inprontur) of Argentina, whose objective is to position the South American country as a tourist destination among Chinese travelers.
