Panama registered 3 new deaths from covid-19 in the last 24 hours, for a cumulative to date of 8,114 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%.

Until this Sunday, 757,568 confirmed accumulated cases of covid-19 and 81 new positive cases were registered in the country in the last 24 hours.

The number of recoveries amounted to 746,146, and in the last 24 hours 1,731 tests were applied for a positivity of 4.7%.

Meanwhile, the active cases total 3,308, while there are 3,159 people in home isolation, divided into 3,126 at home and 33 in hotels. Those hospitalized add up to 149, there are 124 people in the room and 25 in the ICU.

Vaccine Report

For this Sunday, the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) highlighted that a total of 7,720,027 vaccines against covid-19 have been applied in Panama, since the process began in January 2021.

Of this total in Panama, 3,380,747 first doses, 2,961,243 second doses, 10,707 third doses, 3,248 fourth doses and 1,364,082 booster doses have been applied. While 245,356 doses of Pfizer’s pediatric vaccine have been applied throughout the country.

1 positive passenger detected at Tocumen Airport

In its report this Sunday, the Department of Epidemiology of the Minsa indicated that in the last 24 hours, 1 positive passenger for COVID19 was detected.

According to this report, 2,352 positive passengers have been detected in Panama since the Tocumen Airport resumed its activities in October 2020.
