Panama reported 633 new cases of covid-19, for a cumulative total of 115,286.
To date, 5,249 tests were applied, for a positivity percentage of 12.1% and 9 new deaths have been registered, totaling 2,423 accumulated and a fatality of 2.1%.
Active cases total 21,054. In home isolation, 20,211 people are reported, of which 19,819 are at home and 392 in hotels. The hospitalized number 843 and of them 733 are in ward and 110 in ICU.
The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, reiterated the call to the population to respect the established norms regarding biosecurity measures and the protocols in place to combat covid-19.
Minister Sucre assured, at the same time, that the health authorities will continue making tours of restaurants and shops that have opened their doors in order to verify that they are complying with the measures established to preserve the health of the majority.
