Independents list increases prior to elections

Dimitri Flores, Ana Matilde Gómez and Ricardo Lombana are the three candidates for free nomination who lead the list of independents seeking the presidential candidacy for the general elections of May 5, 2019.

A recent report of the Electoral Tribunal (TE) shows that Flores submitted a total of 85 thousand 255 signatures, but they were accepted – after debugging – 50 thousand 870. Of this last amount, 60.09% of the signatories are registered in a political party.

Meanwhile, the deputy Gómez presented 39 thousand 268 signatures, but they accepted 27 thousand 418. Of the final amount, 52.57% of those who signed militates in a match.

While Lombana submitted 12 thousand 729 signatures, but they recognized 10 thousand 652, of which 41.67% belongs to a party.
