I have recently engaged in an online forum that I feel is a great tool to meet people and particularly ex-pats.

InterNations.com is a worldwide site dedicated to connecting ex-pats from all over. Many events planned to meet people. I was just informed of this one upcoming.  I suggest others visit and join so you can learn how to attend. Very great way to network and meet people.
