Panama and Venezuela meeting fails

The Panamanian Foreign Ministry confirmed that a ” meeting ” with Venezuelan authorities was held in Santo Domingo , Dominican Republic, in an attempt to resolve the trade and diplomatic differences between the two countries.The meeting was held at the request of the government of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro , who – according to a press release from the Foreign Ministry –  asked Dominican President  Danilo Medina to establish ” a bridge of dialogue ” between Panama and Venezuela.

“In this regard, during a scheduled visit by Vice President  Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado to the Dominican Republic, framed in the Intersectoral Regional Agenda on Social and Inclusive Protection 2030 , President  Juan Carlos Varela asked the Chancellor to attend the President’s invitation Medina, “says the Foreign Ministry bulletin
