There have been 192 accusations registered for the crime of rape in the province of Bocas del Toro alone.
Police. Two people aged 29 and 31 respectively, were apprehended this Thursday by police officers in Bocas del Toro, for the alleged crime of rape.
According to data from the Judicial Branch, from the month of January of this year to date, 192 accusations have been registered for the crime of sexual violation only in the province of Bocas del Toro.
On the other hand, at a general level, the Public Ministry has registered on its statistical page a total of 3,508 cases reported for rape and other sexual crimes and 1,474 sexual violations until July 31, 2022.
The police also arrested a 36-year-old man, required for the alleged crime of perjury, another 32-year-old and one over 18 years old linked to the crime of personal injury, who were placed under the orders of the competent authority.
